Nudge Global Impact Awards, Peace Palace, The Hague, evening 22 October 2019
The Nudge Global Impact Awards, handed out on 22 October in the Peace Palace, are the highlight of the Nudge Global Impact Challenge. The Award is a recognition for alumni who have realised sustainable global impact within their organisations, countries or networks. Current and future leaders will connect and commit to make change happen. Keynote speaker Professor Jack Sim from Singapore will explain how he created a global movement that transformed the taboo on toilet and sanitation into a media darling, mobilising all 193 countries to adopt the founding day of his World Toilet Organisation to become the Official UN World Toilet Day.
Nudge Global Impact Award
Nudge focuses only on real, measurable impact. Therefore, we partnered up with the Department of Environmental Policy Analysis of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam to assess the impact made by participants, from which six finalists were determined. Teresa Fogelberg, former Deputy Chief Executive of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) will hand out the Nudge Global Impact Awards. This prize celebrates the positive impact on society and the world that the participants of the Challenge are achieving through the realisation of their Sustainability Impact Plan.
Jan van Betten, Founder of Nudge:
“Nudge focuses on impact. The Nudge Global Impact Challenge is the instrument for young professionals and their organisations to realise change and impact. Changing the lives of one billion people in a positive way and tackling global issues. Is it possible when you are 23 years old? Yes, you can when you know how to mobilise your organisation towards doing business for good. Nudge realises the worldwide impact our alumni have created, it is about time to award them for that.”
Partners of the Nudge Global Impact Challenge are:
