ENGIE: aiming for carbon-neutral energy and joining the Challenge again this year!

ENGIE is committed to successfully addressing the energy challenges of coming decades by producing energy that emits no CO2. The environment, universal access to energy and the quest for innovation are all key commitments for the Group. Being active in 70 countries with more than 153,000 employees worldwide, ENGIE and all its separate entities work to provide sustainable and innovative energy on a national and international level.

In the Netherlands, ENGIE provides clients the opportunity to find out about how they are using their energy and help them reduce their energy consumption with the clever ENGIE App, which is already being used by over 45,000 clients.

In addition, for every client in the Netherlands that uses ENGIE gas, the company makes a donation to the foundation Trees for All. In 2016, this led to the first ENGIE forest – an investment into a greener future.

As a whole, ENGIE is working towards a sustainable and low carbon dioxide energy transition. It believes that the four Ds – decarbonising, decentralising, digitalising, decreasing consumption – implemented through innovation and communal action can lead to efficient energy solutions.
