HEINEKEN believes sustainability is a driver for business success and that business can be a positive force for change.
At the end of last month, HEINEKEN Mexico opened a brewery that aims to be as sustainable as possible, constructed following circular economy principles and using the latest technology. With a US$500 million investment, the new brewery is HEINEKEN’s most water efficient brewery globally. It also uses 100% renewable electricity: the windows in the brewery contain photovoltaic cells that create approximately 12% of the electricity for the site and the remainder comes from wind power.
HEINEKEN Mexico took part in the Nudge Global Impact Challenge for the first time in 2016 and – after another fruitful year in 2017 – has now fully embraced the programme. After a thorough internal application process, three young professionals from HEINEKEN Mexico will be selected. We are certain that these talented youngsters will prove themselves true agents of change at the Nudge Global Impact Challenge 2018 and can’t wait to meet them!
