Philips strives to make the world healthier and more sustainable through innovation. And this year, they will send participants to the Nudge Global Impact Challenge to help them reach that goal.
Philips is a diverse technology company that aims to improve people’s lives with meaningful innovation in the areas of healthcare, consumer lifestyle, and lightening. Sustainability is at the core of Philip’s vision. In 2012 they set themselves the ambitious target to improve the lives of three billion people a year by 2025 by making the world healthier and more sustainable through innovation. They have developed a sustainability programme called ‘Healthy people, sustainable planet’, based on a social and an ecological dimension.
‘At Philips, we fully embrace sustainability because of the benefits for societies, and because we believe that it is a driver for economic growth. That’s why we have sustainability incorporated in our company strategy.’
Philips believes that they, as part of society, have an obligation to contribute to the positive state of the world. That is why they have committed to support UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 3 to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being and SDG 12 to enable sustainable consumption and production patterns. During the Nudge Global Impact Challenge the three participants from Philips will most certainly come one step closer to reach these ambitious goals.
