Federico Grati is an environmental engineer with 10+ years experience in the bio-energy sector and circular economy. He is very active on social media in promoting sustainable lifestyles, supporting the circular economy and responsible business.
Founder of various innovative start-ups, Federico has gained field experience in more than 20 African Countries and has been honoured with BEST (Business Exchange and Student Training) Fulbright scholarship in 2011. He is also part of the Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa Clara University, the largest and most successful university-based social enterprise accelerator to end global poverty and protect the planet.

He is the official representative of our Reward Partner Ferrero. After his keynote speech on the third day, he will disclose the prize for the winners of the Nudge Global Impact Challenge 2017.
Federico Grati began his career in the bio-based industry for the development of cellulosic ethanol projects in Mossi & Ghisolfi and Clariant. More specifically, Federico was involved in the business development of Clariant’s sunliquid technology – an innovative process for converting agricultural residues into climate-friendly biofuel.
Today, he works as general manager in AgriGeorgia – a Ferrero Group subsidiary – managing large hazelnut plantations and a staff of 250 heads. His commitment is to guarantee sustainable and socially responsible food origination through circular economy best practices, and to increase satisfaction for stakeholders and customers. All in line with Ferrero’s motto: ‘Sharing values to create value’.
