The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment is Support Partner of the Challenge

Nudge is proud that the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment of the Netherlands has become Support Partner. The Ministry takes part in the Global Challenge because they feel that this development programme for the leaders of the future offers their young professionals an opportunity to work on sustainable assignments in company of a broad, international group of people.

Just recently The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment announced that it will specialise on climate trade missions in the upcoming years. Plans are also underway, in consultation with the UN, for setting up a climate expertise centre, to serve as a platform for countries, cities, and companies that wish to call on Dutch expertise in a range of fields, including the sustainable use of land, agriculture, and water resilience. This will enable the nations to work on the climate goals agreed in Paris.

With these admirable ambitions, there is no doubt that The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment is perfectly suited to take up the role of Support Partner of the Global Challenge! The Ministry is committed to improve quality of life, access and mobility in a clean, safe and sustainable environment.

The Ministry strives to create an efficient network of roads, railways, waterways and airways, effective water management to protect against flooding, and improved air and water quality. Broadly speaking, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment consists of three sections: policy, implementation and inspection. In addition, the Ministry has several support agencies to ensure that the top political and civil service layers as well as the employees are able to perform their work.

Nudge can’t wait to start collaborating with the young talents of the Ministry to prepare them to become the next generation leaders in sustainability!
