Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. It goes without saying that Greenpeace perfectly matches with the Nudge Global Leadership Challenge, as sustainability is right at the heart of their organisation. In their own words “Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action.” Nudge is very proud to join forces with our Support Partner Greenpeace! Especially because it is an environmental NGO, which enhances the diversity of our Support Partners.
With their young talent participating in the Global Challenge we hope to equip her with the necessary leadership skills, network and publicity to realise their goals. The theme of the Challenge, ‘Climate Change and World Peace’ is a focal point for Greenpeace. They try to contribute to this cause by, among others, catalysing an energy revolution, defending our oceans, protecting the world’s ancient forests and the animals, plants and people that depend on them and working for disarmament and peace.
As Greenpeace is present in more than 55 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Pacific it goes hand in hand with the international nature of the Challenge. Greenpeace speaks for 2.8 million supporters worldwide, and encourages many millions more than that to take action every day.
