“We should never take our planet for granted. Imagine if you could only take one action on climate change and world peace, then society would benefit, our communities would benefit, the whole world would benefit. Be a leader of today, not of tomorrow. Participate, take action, raise your voice and connect with other people who value life on planet earth as of today, and for generations to come.”
Marsida Bandilli, Alumna of the Global Challenge, PhD Researcher at the University of Antwerp and Blogger for the Huffington Post

“The Peace Palace – the home of the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations. The Hague is recognised globally as the home of international justice and accountability. The United Nations greatly appreciates the hospitality offered by the Government of the Netherlands and the City of The Hague to the many courts and tribunals established by or with the assistance of the United Nations. These bodies, and the many other organisations working in The Hague, play a central role in the peaceful resolution of international disputes. They are integral to realising the promise of the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
